Sick & Summer
Haven't been feeling well lately. At least yesterday I had some fun watching Transformers (the original cartoon version) with Kelly. XD Many laughs were had, because...my GOD, Transformers, what the HELL. It's positively mind boggling how awful that show was. There were TWO Starscreams in the same frame...and then the magically appearing chick in the eighth episode just killed us. It was hilarious.
Kelly: My mind. It's boggled.
Mine too, Kel, mine too.
In other news, I'm working on some craft stuff (magnets and stickers) to sell at an art convention next summer. :) I'm having fun with it, but it is getting a bit expensive. Thankfully I'm working for my aunt now at her house, so I do have SOME income haha.
I can't believe summer's almost over. I'll be a sophomore yet again this year. It seems just like yesterday I was a sophomore in high school, but I suppose that feeling is normal. It's going to be weird not to have a "hands on media class" this semester after the last two semester of having to have movie projects due every other week. XD I only have one film course (my last core class!!) and its an analysis class, so all I'll be doing is writing response papers to films we watched in class. All my other courses seem to be writing-oriented too (two English classes finally haha) so I'll be kept busy anyway.
Lately, I've been more motivated to get more...serious about my film career. I'm going to be practicing with After Effects more and I want to work on some short film projects for practice as well. While I know I will probably be using my film degree mostly for side jobs (and my English degree will be my main job focus), I want to become better with filming. I suck as a director and camera operator, and I will probably focus on screenwriting in my senior year, but I have a lot of personal, independent projects (The Philadelphia Experiment, Inside My Mind, me and Kelly's crossover...) that I want to be good, you know? So I have to practice. Also for like...school stuff too. Haha.
I'd really love to get a nice camera, but considering how expensive they are (the one I'm looking at is around $3500...), I'm going to have to wait quite a bit before I can get one. D: The one I have isn't too shabby, but definitely not suitable for some of my future projects. We'll see.
Well, I'm off to write some more (heeeeeey, Manigoldo, how've you been?) and probably work on some magnets. How typical of me to get productive at the END of summer, hmm? Ah well, at least I'm working more~
